Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Cyrus Laali, D.C.
Hi Dr. Cyrus, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was in school headed toward a business degree when myself and two of my best friends got into a car accident. I remember being treated successfully and how I felt better from start to end. I didn’t want to be stuck behind a computer after that. I wanted to make a difference in people’s daily lives – how they live, move, and feel. Through years of school, continuing education, and patient outcomes, I’m at a point where I can very confidently say that our patients’ success can be, at least partially, chalked up to the empathetic nature of having been in their shoes before.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Having been in practice for 15 years, and 6-7 of those in private practice ownership, I would say a roller coaster is a better metaphor. There are thrills, fears, exhilaration, questioning if the ride was a good idea, etc. but certainly rewarding, and ready to get back on the ride again when it’s done.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Epic Chiropractic/Legacy Medical Center?
We are an integrated chiropractic/medical office so we can offer the full scope of help for a musculoskeletal condition like back pain, neck pain, shooting pains like sciatica, and headaches. We treat using as many tools in our toolbox that would help, and having a medical team means having a bigger toolbox than just a chiropractor alone or just a physical medicine office alone. The overwhelming philosophy for our office has been and always will be “treat every patient as if they are your own father/mother/brother/sister/child”. This has blessed us to win “Best Chiropractor – Plano/Frisco” by Living Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022 and “Best Physical Rehabilitation – Plano/Frisco” by Living Magazine in 2021 and 2022.
We have such a wide arrange of services offered to help our patients out, ranging from chiropractic care to rehabilitative exercises to muscle/joint injections and nutritional IV therapy. We’ve seen the weekend warriors, the “stuck at a computer all day” people, the people who were minding their own business and got into a car accident or bike accident, or just the curious patient wanting to know how it feels to have full functionality for any and all activities they enjoy participating in!
What’s next?
Looking ahead, we hope to expand into other areas of the North Dallas area and suburbs. I have been born and raised here in Plano and have a natural love for the city. Currently living in the north part of Frisco, I see the growth there in that area as well as areas like Prosper, Celina, and Aubrey. Taking Epic Chiropractic/Legacy Medical Center to serve other communities, and therefore helping more people, is on our horizon.
Besides physical expansion, we’re always keeping our eye on cutting-edge therapies and evidence-based studies to see what is working for patients in their continued treatment. We’ve incorporated PRP injections in our practice for joint healing and are looking at new science on weight loss and fat reduction for those patients interested in losing inches and dropping pounds.
