Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyna Allen.
Lyna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started getting lash extensions in high school and I know my devices were listening when I was talking about them because all of a sudden lash extensions started showing up all over my social media! I was hooked when I saw the different styles and lengths. I started in August of 2021 and it was definitely overwhelming becoming a beauty service provider coming from the medical field. It took a lot practice and is continuing to take practice to learn new things and perfect my technique. I’ve been lashing for about 1.5 years now and I don’t regret a single thing. Lashing gave me the authority over my life and the freedom to call the shots. I’m now in esthetician school to offer more services for my brand and I’m so excited to see what 2023 has in store for me and my business!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I definitely have dealt with and still deal with a lot of self-doubts and imposter syndrome. Questioning my talent and skill and honestly just becoming my biggest hater. But I work hard to address my weaknesses. Because the beauty industry is always changing, I am open-minded at learning more ways at perfecting my craft to maintain consistent clientele.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently do lash extension services, with a plan of starting brow sculpting and permanent makeup. I’m most proud of pushing myself to do the things I want to do instead what others want from me or see me doing!
What’s next?
I plan on obtaining my esthetician and tattoo license to provide brow sculpting and permanent makeup services. After earning my licenses, I want to move into a suite!
