Exploring Life & Business with Mona Zargar of The Wig Fairy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mona Zargar.

Hi Mona, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I was a freelance Hairstylist when I found out that the Jewish community women would cover their hair once they get married. I took on the role of styling and cutting these women’s wigs out of my home and then opened a part-time salon. After a couple months, I had a client that came to me with Alopecia and I had no idea what it was, but after much research, I decided to turn my attention towards the hair loss community. After 5 years I decided to open a Full wig Salon in Beverly Hills and focus my attention on clients that have cancer, Alopecia, and trichotillomania. Now we offer pop-ups all over the US.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest obstacle was trying to educate myself on what these clients face daily and have all the possible answers for every client but even though I have never been in their position, I tried to relate as much as possible to every situation.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Wig Fairy. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
From the beginning, The Wig Fairy has worked with the hair loss community to create custom wigs that not only make our customers feel confident but also prevent further damage to their existing hair and scalp. There are many salons and wig companies that practice unsafe techniques such as gluing caps to an already damaged scalp preventing healthy hair growth or further permanent damage. We at The Wig Fairy understand the pains of hair loss so we have made it our purpose to ensure every customer leaves with a wig that is true to them. We are not only a wig shop; we are here to support you on your hair loss journey.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I have learned that every woman battles a different struggle in life, many battle hair loss without showing it or always putting on a brave face. I am honored to always help these women face their daily battles and help them overcome them.
