Inspiring Conversations with Daris Frencha of The Benefit Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daris Frencha.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Prior to owning my own business, I was in sales and business development. I got to a point where I was tired of building other people’s businesses, dreams, and legacy. I was tired of having to say no to my children when they asked for things, tired of missing out on family time, tired of not knowing what retirement would look like; I started as an Independent Contractor for LegalShield Business Solutions on a part-time basis because of the flexibility and ability to determine how much money I could make if I really put my mind to it. I replaced my full-time salary in 3 years. From there, I fired my boss, went full-time, and shortly after that made my first six-figure income in a 12-month period! Fast-forward to a few years, along with the epidemic and sudden loss of my brother, I re-evaluated everything! I decided to grow my business to a full-service employee benefits firm providing a full suite of plans from group medical insurance, short-term disability, group life insurance and other voluntary and supplemental employee benefits. This is when The Benefit Boutique was born! I got certified as a woman-owned business through the Women’s Business Council Southwest. I also completed the Goldman Sach’s 10KSB Program to put a growth plan in place that would grow and scale my business over the next 5 years. Cohort 23 in the house!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I lost my only sibling, my baby brother, to gun violence in 2021. This was heart-breaking and as I shared it made me re-evaluate my life, my purpose, and who I am as a woman. Through the hurt and pain, I got the vision and inspiration to go bigger and harder in all areas of life in honor of his legacy.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Benefit Boutique?
We specialize in helping small businesses that have between 2 – 50 employees get affordable and easy access to employee benefits so that they can be more competitive at attracting and retaining talent. We work with carriers that remove employee participation minimums – which is a headache for small groups. Our carriers also relax employer contribution requirements because small businesses don’t have big budgets. We also provide a complimentary benefits administration portal to help make managing benefits more efficient and less time-consuming.

We custom-tailor unique benefits for diverse workforces.

While the budget is custom-tailored by the employer.

We make benefits fun!

What does success mean to you?
We define success as helping other small businesses grow and scale. When companies have high attrition rates, they are focusing on recruiting new employees, trying to figure out how to keep employees, and losing potentially tens of thousands of dollars when employees leave. How can they focus on market-share, product or service enhancements, or the other important factors to truly grow their business? There are many factors to high attrition, but we know that a competitive employee benefit package attracts and retains top talent.

Success for The Benefit Boutique is helping small businesses obtain an affordable but generous employee benefit package that is easy to administer. If we are successful at accomplishing this, then thousands of small businesses can grow and scale.

Success for me personally is helping others win. #LetsGrow!
