Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Arnolie.
Nichole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Beyond the Dust was founded in 2020 in Anna TX. We are a residential and commercial cleaning company that also offers organizational services. We are headquartered in Anna, but we service the entire DFW Metroplex. Our mission is helping clients foster good mental health through a clean and healthy home environment. We hope that through providing professional organizing and cleaning solutions, people can feel safer, happier, and healthier in their own homes while still enjoying time for themselves and their loved ones. In 2022 we won the Dallas Morning News’ prestigious BEST IN DFW award in the following categories: Best cleaning Service! We have the best clients and are truly humbled by this recognition. We also offer free deep cleanings to those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). My mother recently passed away from complications due to MS, our ‘Cleaning 4 Life’ program is in honor of her and her 20-year fight with the disease.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge for me thus far has been learning how to manage other people. Dealing with different personalities, needs, and wants has proven to be a challenge at times that I didn’t anticipate. I’ve always felt like a strong leader, but in the midst of building my business and pursuing my dreams, I’ve realized that I also have to pay attention to the goals and dreams of those around me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I founded Beyond the Dust in 2020, at the start of the pandemic. I was a newly single mother; my dad had just recently passed away, and I needed to stand on my own two feet. I had been working for a woman doing residential cleaning for about a year before I decided to step out on my own. I felt undervalued and underappreciated during my time with her. Running a business all on my own terrified me, but I took a leap of faith in spite of my feelings. I have a bachelor’s degree in organizational studies; organizing and entrepreneurship have always been passions of mine. I truly believe that neat & smart spaces foster positive mental health.
What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is living a life you can be proud of. There are so many things I love about Beyond the Dust, but what I love the most is the opportunity to give. Having a clean home to rest, rejuvenate, feel safe, and enjoy the most precious moments of your life with the people you love is truly priceless. We live in such a busy world, it’s difficult for many to create and/or maintain these spaces themselves and that’s where we come in! I’m blessed to be doing work that I am truly proud to do every day.
