Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Gonzalez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started by joking around in high school cafeteria just doing freestyles while my friends did the beats on the tables I was around the age of 17-18. I didn’t really take it serious at the time, it was just something to spend the time but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve seen a lot of people liked the songs I’ve composed plus I’ve had really good opportunities and I have fun doing what I do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road I’ve had my ups and downs during this journey had my setbacks when I’ve gotten into an accident a few years back when my music goal was getting it’s recognition that had me take some time off while I recovered but other than that I’ve been striving and things are coming together like a puzzle piece by piece thank god of course.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make music I’m bilingual, so my songs are either Spanish or English sometimes they have both languages mixed together in the song. I’m known as Pepo Da Truth to the music community usually just get called Pepo my real name rarely gets said at all not since school days. I’m most proud of the fact I didn’t die, and my life didn’t get taken for granted so I can make my mark on the world before my time comes. What sets me apart from others I feel is the way I am, the style I bring to my music. I’m a really humble genuine chill person but I can be very antisocial at times, but I love those who love me.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risks I’ve taken would have to be stepping out of my comfort and actually putting out my music to the world to listen to because anyone that would know me before could tell you I was a really guarded shy person that barely spoke at all now I’m not as shy I’m still guarded and I don’t talk much but way better than before. It’s not the biggest risk taking but for me that says a lot more than anyone would know.
