Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecelia Robinson.
Hi Cecelia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
How did I get to where I am… Well, I spent three years in prison for fraud/bank robbery, and when I was paroled, I felt like I had a second chance in life. I started reaching out to people who introduced me to people who wanted to take a chance on me. I ended up becoming Freeway Rick Ross’s manager, and while I was managing him, I met a YouTuber who wanted me to be a co-host on a show that he was coming up with. His name is Black Fight Fan. There was also another co-host by the name of 78 sports Tv. While I was on the show with the guys, Black realized that I had a way with storytelling. So Black told me to start recording myself telling my prison stories. He created me a YouTube channel and I went Viral two weeks on YouTube. I have one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels. Hitting almost 100,000 subscribers in less than a year.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way
As far as it being a smooth road, it depends on what you’re talking about. Staying out of trouble??? I’m going to say no on that part. Reason being, I had gotten so use to making fast money, that’s easy money to me, and that was something I had grown accustomed to. But that time and energy that I put in on the streets, I realized that I could put that same efforts into some legal and I’ll be able to have it forever. Another tough road for me is YouTube. YouTube blocks my content, so they don’t have to pay me. But I have to keep on pushing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an influencer. I have a pretty big YouTube channel called Cece Reacts. I tell my real-life prison stories and my real-life stories. I have between 10,000-60,000 people that watch me on YouTube weekly. Sometimes those numbers can jump to the 100,000. It just depends on if YouTube is blocking me or not.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Dallas because of the pride the people have for their culture. What I like least is the weather. It be hot as hell here.
