Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelia Allen.
Hi Angelia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Angelia Allen a Clark Atlanta Mass Communication Graduate that began working in tv and film production in college and for over 14 years. Before going back to tv, I shot over 200 hundred music videos, films, and commercials all over the country. I have directed, produced, and developed many forms media but was always remained passionate about service to impoverished communities.
I currently work as a KSLA News Anchor and DEI professional with D.I.M.E an organization that promotes accountability for diversity and provides leadership solutions through community involvement thrusting leadership in everyone’s hand (We can and should all be community leaders) D.I.M.E, Diversity (Equity) & Inclusion Manufacturing Excellence brings a since of urgency and strong attention to Urban Sustainability.
I am also a community partner with nonprofit Moshe.org (Texas), and I run an amazing show on Mogul Media TV, along with producing for “The Floor is Yours Podcast” (Texas), where we talk to community leaders and influencers in and around the DFW area. We run 7 shows on our platform where we largely discuss men’s mental, finances, current events, love, and relationships, and the fact that relationships are the new currency.
In celebration of Black History Month, I was ask to be a guest for “Owning Our Voices” Mini docu-series that explores the benefits of vocalizing initiatives that empower us and, most importantly ones that are geared towards center growth,
On March the 17th and 18th, I will be hosting “The Conversation Summit,” an on-going two-day event; this summit gives us the opportunity to speak to leaders in specific cities to discuss what a better community looks like in that community what are the challenges they face, and resources needed.
These two-day events are geared towards youth and community empowerment. The event includes a stage play by dream productions and pitch competition for the youth and anyone with a business or product idea; it will also honor community leaders and city officials in those cities that are putting in the work to build entrepreneurship and community awareness. The first stop is Frisco, Texas. The next is Las Vegas.
I believe that accountability for communities where we reside is the first step to building better communities that allow our business and children to thrive.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the major struggles are getting the community to understand that there are always resources available and that being a part of the community is important. The call to action has been hard fought.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Angelia Allen a Clark Atlanta Mass Communication Graduate that start working in tv and films but was always passionate about service to impoverished communities. I’m currently working as a KSLA News Anchor and DEI professional with D.I.M.E an organization that promotes accountability for diversity and provides leadership solutions through community involvement thrusting leadership in everyone’s hand (We can and should all be community leaders) D.I.M.E, Diversity Equity & Inclusion Manufacturing Excellence brings a since of urgency and strong attention to Urban Sustainability.
I’m known for bringing people together through Consumer products, advocacy, and delivering information and facts not just opinions, through airways and social platforms.
I’m most proud personally of my successful marriage, son, and healthy family. Professionally and most currently, the work I’m doing with “The Conversation Summit”
One of the things that set me apart from others is the amazingly bold team of people I work with. Gerod Ware and Tameka Chapman are community voices that are currently seeing a need and finding creative ways to get the message out.
The main thing that sets “ME” apart from others is that I truly focus on communication and community growth, my unique path in life in Radio, TV, an Film has allowed me an amazing journey and ability to find my way back to my passion; service. Lastly, no one is doing what we are doing. The summit is moving from city to city, exploring culture, its opportunities, beauty, and love for all people.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
