Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeo Menjivar.
Hi Jeo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to have my own business. I come from a family where owning a small business was always the best idea, so I decided to start with having my own IT consulting services where I helped churches with their computers set up, lighting, online setups, and upgrades. After a while, I decided to test my luck by getting in touch with a local contractor that was doing a remodel at a clinic because I knew they were going to need updated electronic equipment. He agreed on letting us do the cameras and computers, but after a short time, I found out he ran off with the money and left the clients dry and with no help! I, of course, wasn’t happy with that. In December 2021, I decided to dive into the construction world by combining technology and construction. Because of my previously mentioned experience, I wanted to do make sure to conduct my business the right way. At Uprise Construction, we legitimately care about people not just profit. We choose to live and act in the Christian life in all aspects of our business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nope not at all, it’s been a very challenging road for sure, full of negative people that don’t like to see other succeed and tend to be reluctant to help, unfortunately.
But with my faith in God and with his help, I’ve been able to overcome a lot of obstacles, in life and in this industry, I, now see those challenges as opportunities to grow and learn so don’t ever give up on your vision/dream!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Most of my clients are either new construction or remodels, so I would say that is what I’m most known for. I’m most proud of my team who is able to complete projects and meet client’s needs within an exceptional timeline. Clients have nothing but positive things to say about my team and how well we work together and communicate with them everything that is going on.
We are one of the few companies in Texas where we have a “zero down payment” policy upon commencing ANY project. This has allowed us to gain new consumers’ trust in knowing they won’t be taken advantage of.
Our commitment to project transparency, character of integrity, our dedication to quality, and our process of superior communication is what puts us above the other construction companies in North Texas.
