Today we’d like to introduce you to Joy Phillips.
Hi Joy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Well, I would say that my own personal experience of seeing my wedding and events come true motivated me to start this business venture. Experiencing the joy and happiness from my events that were brought to life encouraged me to want to see the same smiles on people’s faces and feelings I experienced once I made their wedding or event of their dreams come true.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been an easy road, and I’m just getting started. My first wedding was a success, my bride and groom were happy with the experience, and I was able to get additional business opportunities. I would say the only struggle was just getting someone to take a chance on me and trust the process.

I am a wedding/event coordinator and planner. I’m completely hands-on throughout the process, and my priority/goal is to make the experience and process for my clients as seamless as possible. Every detail, every phone call to a vendor, is filtered through me once I am hired. I want my client to know and feel that when their big day arrives, everything is taken care of.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe the fact that I am hands-on and detailed oriented will assist with my success. The fact that I make myself and my team available as much as possible through the process is beneficial.
