Today we’d like to introduce you to Marissa Stiff, Owner and CEO of MXL Luxe Interiors.
Hi Marissa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my design journey back in September of 2014 with designing and executing special events for my children and clients in my hometown of Jackson, MS. From that point on I was booked literally EVERY weekend up until I made a major move to TX in 2017. Even then, I was working in between MS and TX to continue making a living for my family. Despite the many obstacles I faced, I built a quite reputable brand. In 2020 I realized I wanted to venture more into the interior design/decorating field. I’m in love with all things fashion-related, curating things, etc., so this was ideal for me! After 2 years of not being able to find a consistent contractor to work alongside me to complete projects, my now husband took a week off from his full-time job to work alongside more experienced contractors to learn skills that were beneficial in helping to build the brand on top of things he already knew. Together we’ve designed homes, office spaces, etc., all over TX and MS.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
In business, it’s never smooth! We’ve faced some of the toughest challenges, such as clients not wanting to pay for services, clients wanting to blame us as the designer for delay in deliveries, etc. No matter what challenges we’ve faced we continue to move forward to meet every one of our client’s expectations!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
MXL Luxe Interiors is built on LOVE. A love to Create. A love to Design. A love make others happy. Most importantly, a love between 2 people who simply want to make a difference through their work.
Marissa, Principal Designer, has a love for all things fashion related. This ultimately led her down the career path of design. Her attention to detail, bold style, and diverse design ability makes her the perfect person to help make your vision more of reality.
While Marissa is the Visionary behind the design firm, Lance, her husband and business partner, is definitely the muscle behind the designs. From precise paint jobs, mounting televisions, assembling and hanging furnishings, creating accent walls, Lance gets the job done the professional way.
Lance’s skills as a contractor along with Marissa’s Visions, together create the ultimate outcome, Achieving the goal of working together to ensure our clients are satisfied at the end of each and every project.
Together, they’ve completed several interior design/decorating projects all over Texas as well as their hometown of Mississippi.

Success is reaching a goal! Continuing to knock out every goal you set for yourself is success to me. The ability to continue moving forward despite your obstacles of success.
