Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Pineda.
Hi Michelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was a slave to the corporate world for almost 21 years. I’ve worked since I was 16, trying to save enough money to make a down payment on my first car. I’ve always known what hard work and dedication to goals looked like because of my mom. I’m a mom to two daughters, Brianna and Alexis. I’m now a fiancé to Isaac Aviles, a bonus mom to his four kids, and a “G” to his grandson.
I started my entrepreneurial journey in July 2018 and decided to pursue it full-time in December 2018 with the push-start support of my partner in crime, now fiancé Isaac. My journey started in real estate on the investing side of the industry doing something called Wholesaling. It was a team effort, with Isaac helping part-time until Covid changed the direction. Our core mission to help homeowners solve issues they didn’t know had solutions. We didn’t close our first deal until December 2019, after a long year and a half of lesson after lesson! At times it would have been easier to throw in the towel, but we decided to choose “hard,” and it eventually paid off. Since then, we’ve closed over 25 deals with a total revenue at just over half a million dollars.
Our position in the real estate industry showed us a side of life that many people were not prepared for unforeseen loss or crippling life circumstances. In order to fill that need, I became a Licensed Financial Professional to add to our ability to help more people with life planning, estate planning, mortgage protection, and retirement.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Deciding to be an entrepreneur is a scary road with lots of unknowns, especially if you are the first in your family or didn’t have a great example before you. One of my biggest struggles has been stepping out of my comfort zone and introverted personality to be in the industries I’m in. My secret weapon has been my fiancé, Isaac! He’s a social butterfly and can talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime. He’s encouraged me and supported me to step out of my safe space! Of course, there are other obstacles that every business owner faces, and putting yourself in the right room with the right leadership helps you overcome those.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are wholesalers within the Real Estate Investing industry. Our top priority (it is also one of our core values) is to the leave the homeowner in a better place than when we found them. Most homeowners we work with are in a home that they can no longer afford to maintain, that need repairs beyond their budget, or simply they just got behind on payments such as pre-foreclosure. We also deal with properties in probate.
With the Financial business, I have the privilege to help people and families protect and secure their future as well as build wealth for their legacy. I’m also able to help prevent them from financial ruin due to costs of probate in the event of an untimely death.
I am most proud of the relationships we build with our sellers. We put the sellers’ needs first, and making sure they are in a better, safer place is our priority. We’ve had a couple sellers in really bad living conditions!
One thing that sets us apart from others is our ability to show we genuinely care by the rapport we build. We take the time getting to know the sellers we work with and what their needs are,
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Second to my faith, my biggest supporter and cheerleader is my business partner and soon-to-be life partner, my Fiancé Isaac. He keeps our faith strong, he’s always positive, and his ability to bring out the best in me and vice versa make us the best team!
