Today we’d like to introduce you to Abby Snider.
Hi Abby, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
With a Bachelor’s of Science in Merchandising and more than 8 years in my professional career, I have learned a lot about branding, digital marketing, and client experience. After working with corporate brands all throughout my career, supporting small businesses with my knowledge started pulling at my heartstrings. It truly lights be up to help others bring their vision to life!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting your own business is such a personal experience. You have to educate yourself while also introducing new ways to approach your industry. One thing that has helped me grow as a business owner and a creative is client feedback. DreamLayne always approaches projects with collaboration and an open mind to help each brand design a website that is uniquely theirs.
Something else that is important but so hard to remember when you are trying to start your business is: create more than you consume. Looking towards others in your industry can help when it comes to resources, education, etc., but there is magic in just creating content that feels totally aligned to you.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
DreamLayne is a Squarespace web design studio that supports creatives and small business founders. Brand strategy, creative direction, and user experience are the top things I focus on with my clients. Being aligned with these things helps bring their vision to life through a website they are proud to promote.
Something that sets DreamLayne apart is the focus on creative simplicity. The most important thing your website should do is communicate your message clearly to clients and allow them to navigate with ease. The beautiful design is then layered in for a full online brand experience at a price small businesses can afford.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Heart Talk by Cleo Wade and the Reset with Liz Tran podcast are a couple inspirational resources that help me feel grounded in business and in life.
