Meet Emory Eagles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emory Eagles.

Hi Emory, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a love for photography. Growing up, I would always get disposable cameras just to take pictures and go get them developed at the local Walmart. Back in 2021, I finally decided that I was going to buy a camera and start taking photography seriously. Since then, I started grinding to become the best photographer/videographer I could be. One of the main reasons I wanted to get into photography is a way to give back and uplift. Some people are like, “Oh, I’m not photogenic, or I look terrible behind the camera,” but I want to bring the beauty out in everyone and help them feel more confident about themselves because everyone is a model. I currently go to Collin College to get my commercial degree in photography or digital creation altogether. As I’ve grown, my eye started to change a little, and now, I’m also a videographer and started shooting basketball. I really enjoy sports photography; it really enhances my skills in terms of speed, action, color, and overall problem-solving on command. Im not sure where this journey will take me, but I’m excited to do what I love and meet amazing people along the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road wasn’t and isn’t always easy; some days, I need a break from creating to give myself time to refresh and get new ideas. I have a vivid imagination. I can see something in my head and piece it together to create what I was feeling, but back in July of 2022, I lost my aunt to Breast Cancer, and that shook my world up a bit. For the remainder of 2022, I had a creative block and just was not liking what I was shooting/ creating. I would have all these ideas and try to plan for them but never went as planned, or I would get bored with the idea because it didn’t seem striking to me anymore. That is when I decided to get into sports. It was different than your typical in-studio or location photoshoot. It made me see photography from a different perspective. At first, shooting sports was complicated, I was used to capturing basketball with my eyes but not with a camera. It was fast-paced and very intense. Different gyms had different light sources creating different color casts, moods, and looks. Once I got comfortable, it was smooth sailing. Now I’m back in full swing and ready to photograph it all.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My name is Emory Eagles, and I’m a photographer that specializes in portraits; however, I am also skilled in professional headshots, sports photography, videography, and digital editing. My photography name is 7.24 Shots, and the meaning behind it is that if you switch the 7.24 around, it becomes 24.7, so I’m always ready to work with a client to make their visions come to life. I just recently won 2nd Place at Skills USA Texas state-wide competition in the photography category.

Life is a beautiful gift, and each moment is sacred to each and every person. Those cherishable moments should be captured and given to people to remind them of when they were happy or simply want to reminisce. As a digital creator, it is my job to provide each and every customer with a great experience in making history in their lives. What sets me apart from others is my work ethic and my determination to get what I’m looking for. I wouldn’t say I’m a perfectionist, but if I’m going to display my work, it has to be perfect lol.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
If you listen to the music I listen to, you’ll know immediately I have an old soul. I know I’m 22, but at heart, I feel like a 50-year-old man lol. I’m pretty chill and mellow, but when I get hype, it throws people off because they wouldn’t expect me to have a rowdy side.
