Rising Stars: Meet Chezzrae Parker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chezzrae Parker.

Hi Chezzrae, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Well, what can I say, ministry is my true success. I told my pastor the other day I feel I’ve made more progress in doing ministry than in my personal life. 31 years of age, I am blessed enough to gain part of my youth back and live the college life. Interns, projects, and gaining knowledge of my field is something I happily enjoy. Moreover, I have been Walking in my calling for 3 years and miracles have been nonstop for me. Beating cancer twice as a toddler kind of made me feel I was kept here for a reason as my grandma would always tell me. I am soon to be ordained minister on the 23rd of April, and it’s all worth it. The warfare of being humble is enough to call it quits. The amount of faith I have has gotten me where I am now, and my faith keeps growing and growing. I attend college where I study my passion which is fashion design and product development. I create digital trend boards, work with different sketches and apply textures of fabrics and colors into each design and also studying photoshop and drawing classes. I have another year to graduate with an associate I also plan to achieve a bachelor’s and master’s. I can say fear has kept me back in my personal life in doing lots of things, but once I stepped out on my calling there was a boldness added to my life, and my public speaking class has also helped me gain knowledge about the whole process of in speaking in large groups. I am currently taking pattern classes to put together a fashion line collection to release this summer. I have four children who I do this all for who is currently back home in Mississippi with my grandma and their father. I often worry about my country, most importantly the people of the world in many other countries. I use my ministry to pray for nations, encourage through social media with daily memes and encouraging and uplifting videos, I street preach and handful of groundwork by passing out clothing such as work attire, hats, socks, dresses, pants, and children’s wear. I donate to local and national shelters and orphanages as well. Anyone who is of need of these things do not hesitate to reach out to my email at tailormadegraceorg@gmail.com. My fashion line is inspired by the nations where I am currently considering the flag symbols of many countries and inputting them into each design. I just want to be the one remembered as doing something iconic. I met the creator of NYFW (Fern Mallis), and what is more iconic than that! My summer release dates will be posted to the Instagram account. I am currently on assignment in praying for 31 countries for 31 days, and at the end of the assignment Tailor Made Grace will be sending tangible goods (handmade goods) to earthquake victims of Turkey. Anyone who wants to donate please reach out to my email at tailormadegraceorg@gmail.com. I could send you a link to help with that. I’ve traveled to Israel on a 14-day trip with my traveling partner my sister on my dad side of family where I’ve seen many holy sites and had a chance to donate American money and experience eating much bread just like the bible quotes. And next, we plan to visit Greece on a 9-day trip. In the coming years, I hope to do physical ministry in other countries, but for now, I can send my love through prayer fasting, and giving:)

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free but would you say the journey has Ben A fairly smooth road?

As a founder of a non-profit it has Absolutely has been a fairly smooth road as I look to achieve the absolute best just as any other great nonprofit name has done, I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be as far as reaching goals for not only myself but for the betterment of the citizens in need. Great things do take time, energy, and big heart. Even though I don’t know the right people to reach out to, at times, I am appreciative of the simple everyday people I run into (I like to call them my angels) where they will stop to have conversations with me to where I’m inspired even more to do more. Realizing how much care and attention others need to maintain in life itself is bigger than me, but I am at great ease to know I am doing my part. Sometimes I think about what could go wrong as I often plan for more projects to launch examples would include not enough hands-on deck or simply just running out of product for the people but faith and works together will never go wrong in any situation!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I simply see a need and I go for it! Sewing, designing, and creating have been the recipe to my artwork. Sewing hats for the children affected with cancer at St. Jude Children’s research hospital was a life-changing experience. Seeing the smiles, appreciation, and the parents and wanting to keep in contact was really a big deal to me. I also like to sew work attire and socks for those who have job interviews and are in need of a nice garment for first impressions. Well, the socks are for any homeless shelter I can find or orphanage but will even do the groundwork and talk privately with the public to make sure they have their needs met. Then when I am led to go to certain neighborhoods to preach and evangelize the gospel, I will do so as led. As a fashion student, I design fashion trend boards and create digital patterns using photoshop and Adobe illustrator which is simply for inspiration where I will someday look to do creative work with an established retail company. My fashion line is dropping this summer which will consist of anywhere from crop tops to dresses and evening wear to ball gowns. I will launch through my ministry page via Instagram because it will be a Christian-based company. I’ll have a location to pickup as well for those who are local, and that way, I can have a chance to do alterations for my clients as well.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
A relationship is priority! I want others to not only feel like a number but more so a neighbor! Neighbors make connections and form bonds. Joining a cause like Tailor Made Grace Charities, whether you are on the giving or receiving end, you are a part of something that is meaningful and touching lives just as much as a family member would do so for their family. Together we’re better to make the world greater each day
