So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
To begin with I would like to tell something about my early childhood. I was born and raised in family horticulture business where I learned too many things about plants and flowers. Being a part of family business, I was involved in creative designs such as landscape, flower arrangements and so on. I got change to go study in Japan a unique art called “Oshibana” also known as pressed flower art in US. I met lots of Japanese artist and got opportunity to get insights from them too. I was featured in lots of Japanese national newspaper and TV being one and only international student to study this kind of art. My art works were awarded in several art shows in Japan, Korea, Nepal and here in US.
After finishing my graduation in Japan, I have decided to move to US and do something creative work. With the past experience of floral art, I have founded “Your Events Decor” primarily being a wedding florist. Later when clients were asking for several other services, I have decided to put relevant services like wedding decor, photo/video, DJ & music, Cake and favors in a package. The clients felt it easy deal with one person instead of going through several vendors which saves their time and money. Now, Your Events Decor is not just a decor company but it deals with complete wedding planning procedure. First of all we set an appointment with clients, hear their stories, life styles, taste and preferences and we recommend them our different packages depending on what kind of budget they have and what kind of vendors are suitable for their big day.
People liked my work as I am very determined to get things done on time and I have a very creative approach to the clients. Having my art background helped me a lot to run the business into right direction the way I wanted. I started to get many businesses from different community people like Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani, African American, Jewish which helped me to build my portfolio. Currently, we have done over 300 weddings in a short span of 5 years of business. We strongly believe in customer satisfaction and we work hard to earn their trust and reviews. Whether it’s a small or big event we deal with our customers with great smile, be quick responsive and responsible to every details. It’s great pleasure to serve the people of Dallas being a wedding florist and planner for 5 years and many more to come.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Wedding planning is most probably one of the hectic and stressful job. It’s a lengthy process of hard work with several vendors and bride/ groom. There are several challenges comes during wedding planning and to name a few time constraints is one. The whole process of hard work has to put together in the wedding day of about 4-6 hours in so planner will have to manage every second to balance the whole wedding timeline coordinating between all the vendors. Sometimes our decoration team faces challenges to setup whole venue within 2-3 hours and
The weather is another challenge as weather is very unpredictable. Sometimes the outdoor wedding ceremony has to cancel due to the rain, wind and snowfalls.
Communication gaping is another problem, not all the people are same so in terms of communication things may get misunderstood and the whole planning might get messed up.
Difficult customers, customers are always right but some customers are cheap too. Sometimes there are situation when things may get escalated without any valid reason but customers are always right.

Your Events Decor was founded in 2013 with the aim of providing floral and decor services to the people of DFW metroplex. As time passes by the growing need and demand of clients, we have add few relevant services to offer our clients a package deal such as wedding photo/ video, Dj and music system, Make-up and hair-styling, Cake and bakery. Besides these services we also help our clients with finding the right venues as per the numbers of their guest invitees. We help our client with food and beverage selection, party supplies, accommodation, ground transportation and many more that is related to the wedding. Basically, we provide or refer the top notch wedding professional to our clients with no additional charge.
We are specialized more in Indian, Nepalese and Pakistani wedding but we have already done numbers of African American, Christian white and Jewish wedding as well. We love to work with different ethnic community and bring keep harmony between all cultures.
The greatest strength of our company are the owner being himself an artist with floral art background which helps us to bring more clients from his credentials. We have very dedicated team of young professional who are analytical and can understand what the clients are exactly looking. Our team of expertise has great reputation among our clients of being more responsive and responsible.
The biggest pride of our company are we are innovative and creative. We have bilingual professionals who can speak several languages, we have past experience in art and management background which is the back bone of running a successful business.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are growing every year and we are slowly expanding our business in near cities of DFW metroplex like Austin, Houston and Oklahoma cities. We have started to take wedding planning services in those cities already. Our future plan is to expand our business franchise in major US cities.
We are constantly doing our homework about how to grow our business in very different and creative way.
