Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlotte Williams.
Charlotte, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Charlotte Williams, and I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and raised in Ellison, which is 20 minutes outside of Pine Bluff. Being born in the south, my passion for baking is accredited to my mom. She would have me stand in a kitchen chair just so I could see in the bowl. Half the batter was spilled on the table from beating too aggressive but she would clean up the mess and say, “Keep stirring.” Seeing the end results of what I was taught had me hooked! Today I am the owners of a bakery shop specializing in pound cakes that are made completely from scratch. Our menu is Italian Lemon Pound Cake, Buttercream, Butter on Butter, Vanilla Brown Butter, Seven Up and Glazed Chocolate. We are regular vendors at the Richardson Farmers Market and Castle Hills Farmers Market located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having a business and working in corporate America at the same time hasn’t always been easy, but when you know this is what you’re called to do, you keep pushing.

Desserts Only is a bakery shop specializing in pound cakes and other old-fashioned baked good that are made completely from scratch. We first and foremost focus on providing our customers with an amazing product that is moist and delicious right down to the very crumb. We are committed to quality because we believe your last course meal should be just as delightful as your first. That’s why every ingredient is tested for excellence ensuring your family gets the crème de la crème experience. No fluff ingredients are allowed. No mix, no creamers no hacks. Our cakes are insanely delicious, and we are excited to announce that other baked goods will also be implemented.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to own a bakery. By the time I reached high school, I was baking bread and cinnamon rolls from scratch. Not because I had to but because I wanted to. My mom always told me I could be anything I want to be. But little did she know she poured into me what I was called to be.
