Courtney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hi, I’m Courtney. I’m 25 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Owner of “DrippedTips.” I’ve been doing nails for 2 years now. I’ve always had a passion for cosmetology. I loved doing makeovers and getting glammed up as a little girl. I just didn’t know what section of Cosmo was best for me. I started the cosmetology program in 10th grade graduated with hours and continued my education at Ogle beauty school, international beauty school, and Express Lash Academy… I am a licensed nail and lash tech. I offer a full list of services, but my specialty is acrylic nails & volume lashes. I love everything about the cosmetology field, anything with making someone feels beautiful and glamours is right up my alley! I currently work at a shop in Deep Ellum where I do nails… I offer evening services for lashes… I would love to service you guys soon ❤️
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting my nail journey was definitely a challenge. Learning how to work with the products was tricky, but consistency and practice is the key to anything!!! After many days/nights of practicing, I finally got it down, and it’s super easy for me now! same with lashing the more I did then the better n faster I’ve gotten. it’s all about dedication, motivation, and putting your all into your craft ❤️
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a nail/lash artist, I try to stay updated on the new trends… I offer all services for nails and lashes, but I specialize in acrylic nails and volume/ mega lash sets. I am mostly proud of my acrylic application after years of practice the application process is perfect!!! and what sets me apart from others is every nail set or lash set I offer… I try my best to customize for that exact person everybody eyes and nails are different, so I want to help enhance your own beauty without looking all the same ❤️
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking has been kinda hard for me. I’m not really a social person, but in order to build my brand and build clientele, I had to start posting on social media and talking to people making connections. I offer flash sales… I also made business cards and loyalty cards that offers discount for returning customers ❤️ my nail Instagram is @drippedtipsss
