Today we’d like to introduce you to Tequisha Morgan.
Hi Tequisha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I decided to get into skincare because my youngest daughter has eczema. I wanted to learn what things I could do to help with her skin. I honestly didn’t plan on making a career out of it. Once I started school and we began working on each other (classmates), I fell in love with everything about skincare. After graduating and becoming licensed, I went to work for a well-known waxing chain. One day I quit & decided to go into business for myself. The same day I quit, a friend called me and told me that she wanted to find a big suite to work in, and she wanted me to come with her. I didn’t know how I was going to be able to pull it off. God gave me the resources, and I have been soaring ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When deciding to go into business for yourself, you can guarantee that the road will be rough. There were sometimes that finances were a concern. There were sometimes that clientele was a concern. Marketing myself has always been my biggest challenge up until about 8 months ago. It was difficult for me to speak to strangers about what I do. The more confident I became in my work, the easier it had become for me to reach out to potential clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At thus time, I specialize in full-body waxing. I have just recently partnered with a skincare line, and I will service facials. I perform body treatments, which are facials for a targeted body area. I pride myself in the quality of service I give. I also pride myself in making sure I educate my men and women on their skin health & the importance of having a regimen. My passion for my expertise is what sets me apart from others. I take my time to educate my men and women. I ensure that their questions are fully answered to their understanding. I make myself available well after their service to answer questions. I am humbled that people trust me with their skincare needs.
What’s next?
My biggest goal is to build my own full-service spa. I would love to provide massages, waxing, body sculpting, yoni steaming, nails, eyelashes, and hair services. Those are just a few services. I would love to have a top-notch team of professionals that I pull together & we all work as a huge team to service the community.
