Today, we’d like to introduce you to the brilliant and talented Kristi McDonald.
Hi Kristi, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Sip & Shop Texas started in 2017 as a fun weekend wine tour event in East Texas. As it began to grow, not only more customers were trying to get tickets – but more businesses wanted to be involved as well. From that, we grew into local Pop Up Markets and Events. We focused more on setting up a great event in one area instead of offering it as a tour. Bring in one location gave us so much more opportunity to incorporate more businesses and more fun! We’ve had everything from local music to car shows at our events. We’ve been really blessed with the communities we’ve taken root in and work really closely with the cities to create the best event for the community as a whole. We work with many local news stations, city councils, and area small businesses. Most recently, we acquired The East Texas Wedding Extravaganza and are able to continue to grow it as well. It is now going to be iDo Bridal Expo and offered in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. – So, what once started as a small tour group of 12 has now expanded to include events across 3 states.
Please tell us more about your brand, East Texas Wedding Extravaganza
We are a small women -owned business and pride ourselves on being the most unique, exciting and professionally organized bridal show in the area. At iDo Bridal Expo, LLC , we own and operate the events personally and pride ourselves on our ability to draw great potential customers to our events. We value and appreciate the exhibitor and try to offer a show that makes good sense for any advertising budget. Sharon is the woman behind the curtain, handling all the payments and back office organization. Kristi is often seen promoting events on local news stations, writing articles for magazines and has even been featured on Good Morning Texas. Katie can be seen working the events the day of a big show and keeping everything running smoothly. Together, we pull together big expo events that put everything wedding related under one roof – including fashion shows & food tastings. A wedding expo is your one stop shop for all things wedding related.

The crossover between Pop Up Markets and iDo Bridal Expo has really been a fun transition. Most of the vendors & exhibitors already know each other and are doing the work. Now, we’re able to offer their services on a larger scale to a bigger audience.
