Hi Natalie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been in the Pet Industry my entire life starting from a preteen age when my mother started doing dog and cat rescue. I suppose it all started with a stray Shihtzu mix that we named Woobie and grew from there. For the last 18 years of my life, I worked for the giant in the Pet Industry, where I had climbed all of the corporate ladders to get to the highest position that I could when I reached a dead end. The time finally came when I was ready for a new challenge, and I realized that I could take a different, low-paying job, stay stagnant where I was, or it was finally time to do something of my own. It took months to get the courage, but I finally made the jump, and it was the best decision that I ever made. I took my vast knowledge of the pet industry, and I am now the proud owner of the Greater Fort Worth branch of Zoomin Groomin Mobile Pet Salon. Like the name says, we are a mobile pet grooming service that provides bathing and haircuts for both dogs and cats. Gone are the days of having to transport your pet to and from the salon, where they have to stay in kennels for hours, and the owner has to drive back and forth to get them. Now, we come to YOU!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Without a doubt, the largest struggle was having to muster the courage to leave my job of 18 years, where everything was comfortable and familiar, and I knew I had a specific dollar amount paycheck every week. It took months to find the courage and to finally take the jump, but I did, and now I’m running my own business for myself instead of reporting to the same workplace every day for someone else.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I couldn’t say that I have just one favorite memory, but my favorite part of growing up was being constantly surrounded by animals. I guess you could say that it rubbed off!
