Hello, my name is Arena Adanandus. A decade and a half ago, envisioning my present circumstances was an insurmountable challenge; the path of my life seemed obscured, devoid of direction. Emerging from the turbulent realm of foster care, I found myself returning to the unforgiving streets, grappling with each passing day, ensnared by the allure of quick, illicit gains. My existence was a perilous dance with the law, entangled in custody disputes for my children and ensnared in unhealthy relationships with individuals harboring concealed motives. The streets attempted to engulf me entirely, even claiming my sister along the way, igniting within me an unyielding defiance against the world.
Nevertheless, I persevered through every setback, severing ties with anyone who dared obstruct my journey—men, so-called friends, and, yes, even family. In the depths of my being, I always held the unwavering belief that a higher purpose guided me. I knew I was undeserving of the card’s life had dealt, but like a resilient soldier, like a tenacious warrior, I played my hand relentlessly until the opportune moment materialized. In doing so, I provided my children with a narrative to cherish, a woman for them to lean on, and ultimately rewrote the script for both them and myself. I remain steadfast in my resolve unwavering in my commitment to shape a brighter future. With faith as my compass, I am resolute that the remainder of my journey shall be etched into the annals of history, a testament to the indomitable spirit within me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road, but the things worth having never are. I struggle with marketing almost every day. From trending content on all social media platforms. Being discouraged because I want the desired clientele. That has been my biggest struggle the as far as growing, but I’m still at it not giving up.

Hoodwinked is dedicated to enhancing the natural beauty of our clients through professional eyelash extensions and personalized lash care services. I provide CLASSIC, VOLUME, and MEGA. I’m Proud of myself because thru my challenges early on in the business speed, clientele, etc. I still chose to stay consistent thru it all and conquer my goals so now these challenges are no long challenges today. What sets me apart from other lash techs is lashes are a luxury service. I want it to feel luxury for an affordable price, which out beat most of my competitors.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 yrs. I will be THE BEST AND HIGHEST PAID LASH TECH IN DALLAS. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST DALLAS 🙂
