Hi Nikki, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my graphic design business in March 2023. I began doing graphics when I launched my beauty business in 2018, and social media was a big part of promoting, I began doing the graphics I needed for my social media feeds, and it sparked the creativity I had in high school for graphic design. I was looking to start a business that allowed me flexibility to be a full-time single mom and student while pursuing a dream in business. Graphic design was something I was casually doing for fun. I saw so many new businesses like myself using tools like Snapchat and Instagram to create advertisements for their business it became clear what the next business venture for me was. Not only was it a passion of mine, but the ability to still network and help people.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has not been smooth, but has been worth it. I have ran into a few obstacles and creative blocks simply for my own designs for my website. I’m learning to go with the flow when it comes to my business; it is secondary to my primary career in medical, so I remind myself that my time is valuable, and all will be finished in divine timing.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in flyers, digital art, and templates. My services range from logos to label designs, business cards, and more. My focus in my brand is to create an easy advertisement for businesses to edit based on their social media, branding, printing needs, and more. I offer a variety of branding promotional bundles that come with custom logos, banners for media, business cards, custom labels for products, and other custom graphics needed for advertisements. My goal is to ease the frustrations of graphics and media marketing for a new business or small business by providing a polished appearance for their brand. Catering to the everyday customer shopping for invitations, event flyers, charity donations, influencer kits, and more with templates that come with unlimited edits after purchase.
I focus on the customization of the graphics that I provide. While the trends of airbrush, animation, and glitter images are popular, the biggest brands have the most classic designs. From their logos to their product labeling and packaging, it is always sleek. Classic and clean images will never go out of style; I focus on the longevity of a brand and what customers like as trends change when I design.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Dallas is the food! Can’t even say there is anything that comes quite as close outside of the diversity. You can get a little bit of everything depending on how far you are willing to travel. What I like least is how far things can be from where you are located. It seems like you can never see the whole city; you have to make an effort to get out and see other towns…
