Today we’d like to introduce you to Bervick Benjamin 2x.
Bervick, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started rapping after my dawg Darel “Bobby” Mims died on January 11, 2016. He was going to be the biggest rapper in the game, but time is not are friend. I got robbed that day of a brother by gun violence. I’m living out his dream to become the biggest artist in the game. Benjamin2x is my artist name. I got to go twice as hard in life and afterlife. I want to make Mims proud and want to build a foundation that will never forget mine and his name. I’m an artist based out of Pensacola, FL. If you ask a lot of people from there, a lot of people from the hood don’t make it out. I was able to move to Dallas, TX, and start my career in music. I dropped an album called “Swiping” and have a continuous growing fan base from it. As an independent artist, I struggle to maintain my quota right now because the demons are trying to block my pathway to secure a financial stability. What I mean is every time I try and build my rap career, I get locked up, or my family needs help, and I put my career on hold. In the next couple years, I’m devoted to put 100 percent of my talent on the line and drop hella content for my fans and viewers to be entertained. I know I have to keep putting out visuals building a team, and trusting the process. It’s a challenge for me as an independent artists. With me becoming better with my cadence and melodies, I’m sure that I will excel to a B-list celebrity soon. I love music is my passion and the only reason I breath some days. I thank every fan that gaslight me. I love positivity and the Ora of greatness. I take this music serious and with my vision, I know god with bless me with the structure to succeed and be an impact for so many that go through and been threw the struggle and the manipulation of my rough environment. It’s what made me, but as I slowly try to fix where I was broken from. I want you to enjoy my sound and experience. Thank you
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely bumpy being in and out of courtrooms, cell rooms and being at so many funerals. It’s been war and hellish at the same time, but I can’t be sluggish. I’m a stand-up man and know better days. Sometimes being a perfectionist, you have to stop thinking and step out of what the world throws on you. Really have to say idgaf, or I call it the five-finger discount lol.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a recording artist that’s focused on an iconic hip/hop sound. I’m known for being a beautiful soul and being a positive influencer for people that love high fashion lifestyle coming from poverty. I’m proud of me have loving fans that love my soul and personality. I also proud that I made it until now in this world and how I grew to a space of a peaceful but hungry ambition. Soul, also thankful of my family and knowing a can help them out as a brother/uncle. What sets me apart from the rest is my unique sound and imagery.
