Rising Stars: Meet Addam Biroonak

Today we’d like to introduce you to Addam Biroonak.

Addam Biroonak

Addam, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Without getting to technical my name is Adrian “Addam” Biroonak I am a, Hispanic/Persian R&B and Latin artist from the DMV area. I have been always interested in the world of entertainment since I was around the age of 8, not knowing at much about it at the time. It’s something I have loved doing for years, and it has now cultivated into something I really am passionate about, currently I am independent and would love to stay that route for a good long while if I can. For music influences, I have a few Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Jon B, Babyface, and Marc Anthony, just to name a few. My goal is to hopefully progress to success in the next few years in my field of performance.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wish I could say it has been, unfortunately, no, when you are new to the music business you become very hopeful that things will take off, but some people like to take advantage of people’s drive and hunger, and that can lead many artists such as myself into bad situations. But I have learned from that with hopes to improve in my choices in the very near future.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For the last 10 years, I have been hype focused on what as an artist makes me stand out from the pack of artists that show up every day, and of course, with world being so vast you have to find different ways as an artist to showcase your stuff, I think what I am most proud of is the fact that I can sing in another language, as someone who is not a native speaker it brings me great joy that I feel that I can get connected by learning something that is part of my culture, I believe with this ability it makes me extremely versatile.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Coming from the DMV I don’t have many complaints, to be honest, I can really say the biggest issue I have is, unless you live in D.C. opportunities to perform are extremely sparse, unless you’re in the city. But I do love the culture and the amount of people that live here.
