Today we’d like to introduce you to Curk Harris.
Hi Curk, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am a small-town kid from Mexia, Texas. So, fishing has always been a way of life for us, my mother was one who did not like buying fish from the store. We took this as a 2 for 1, she needed food on the table, and I liked to fish so this was a win-win situation. My parents introduced me at an early age, around 3 years old; this is when I first picked up a fishing pole. I’ve been fishing ever since.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This year alone was a very tough situation to balance both fishing and my life. I was in grad school around the same time that my fishing page went viral on two platforms. So, it was an extremely hard decision to do a lifelong hobby or stay home and finish a goal that I set for myself. There were many 2 and 3 a.m. nights where I would work full time during the day, fish from 5 til midnight, come home shower, and get on homework til 3 a.m. just to do it again the next day. The excitement of having people following you and wanting to see you on your journey kept me on the water and just giving genuine vibes.

I am a multifaceted content creator with a passion for fishing.
I am known for the fishing lifestyle and catching some of the biggest Alligator Gar fish.
I am most proud of seeing the overall growth from my followers. The growth happened out of nowhere; I remember the night like it was yesterday. The notifications started on Tiktok and then the same on Instagram a couple weeks later.
I believe what sets me apart from others is creating fresh and engaging content by putting the spotlight on my passion for fishing and country living. I’m very proud of my roots and highlighting that helps me connect with my audience by educating, exploring, and encouraging my community to get on a hook.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Mom and Dad introduced me to a hobby of a lifetime. Twins and Ron P rode bikes all around Mexia looking for fishing spots, my boy Reece came up and started the page with me.
