Hi Tanner, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
From the Artist…
My name is Tanner Field, and I was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up in a Western lifestyle surrounded by cowboys set the foundation for who I am today. I am Blessed with the opportunity to create unique handmade pieces for amazing people all over the world. My mission is to help tell their story with each item that I make. I have a passion for demanding excellence of myself and strive for my work to always be the very best that I am capable of.
It’s kind of ironic, as a kid whom failed art class, that I would end up successful in art. I am thankful for the early failure, and for the gracious support of my clientele, for truly I am blessed to pursue my passion.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being self-employed definitely has its own set of challenges, especially in the beginning when you’re just starting out. You don’t have your clients built up, and you’re just trying to make a name for yourself. It’s not easy, and you have to work hard. I’m thankfully growing up; my dad is one of the hardest-working people I have ever met. Having him as a role model has definitely helped.

I do custom Leatherwork and silversmithing

I listen to music in the shop and watch a lot of Western movies.
