I began my journey in the beauty industry over 20 years ago, obtaining my first cosmetology license in Iran, Tehran back in 2006. Driven by a passion for helping people feel confident and beautiful, I embarked on a career dedicated to skincare and wellness. Starting with a strong foundation in esthetics, I honed my skills in various treatments such as RF Microneedling, Dermaplaning, Chemical peels, Hydrafacial, Acne management, and Anti-aging procedures. Over time, I built a loyal client base and gained invaluable experience in understanding their needs and delivering exceptional results. As my expertise grew, so did my ambition. I envisioned creating a sanctuary where clients could experience top-notch treatments in a luxurious and welcoming environment. With determination and strategic planning, I established my own spa, focusing on providing a comprehensive range of services tailored to each client’s unique skincare concerns.
Through dedication to excellence and a commitment to continuous learning, I have positioned myself as a leader in the industry, earning recognition for my expertise and the success of my business. Today, I am proud to have built a thriving spa, offering not only advanced treatments but also fostering a team dedicated to making every client feel their best.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In addition to the challenges of starting and managing a business, navigating different cultures and languages was a significant aspect of my journey. Coming from Iran and establishing my business in a new country presented unique obstacles, including understanding cultural nuances and adapting to a different business environment. Starting from zero in a new place meant building connections, establishing credibility, and gaining trust within the community. However, throughout this process, I was fortunate to have the unwavering support of my husband, who played a pivotal role in helping me overcome language barriers, navigate cultural differences, and provide invaluable assistance in various aspects of the business.
Together, we tackled challenges head-on, leveraging our combined strengths to overcome obstacles and propel the business forward. Our partnership not only strengthened our bond but also served as a driving force behind the success of our venture.
Despite the initial hurdles of acclimating to a new culture and language, our shared determination, resilience, and mutual support have been instrumental in achieving our goals and establishing a thriving business in a foreign land.
