Meet Katrina Johnson and Madelysse Dam of T & M Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Johnson and Madelysse Dam.

Hi Katrina and Madelysse, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We have been best friends since our sophomore year in high school and have remained inseparable ever since! Throughout the years, we have celebrated countless milestones alongside our loved ones, from birthdays and bachelorettes to weddings and baby showers. 

We have always found a passion in organizing these special moments for our family and friends. They have been our biggest supporters and have always given us so much positive feedback and just the little extra push we needed to take a chance and pursue our passion. We decided last year in September to finally take that leap of faith and start T & M Events! Since then, we’ve worked with so many wonderful people through the DFW and beyond. That’s one of best parts for us is the connection we build in the community and being able to bring our business to all these events and showcasing what we love to do! 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting something new usually always comes with some kind of challenge! But we wholeheartedly believe that being able to work with our best friend every day makes all those impossible tasks that much more attainable. I think what we struggled with most in the beginning is just getting ourselves out there to meet new people and clients. Our friends and family really came through for us and helped spread the word about our business. We have a solid team within each other and an amazing support system behind us, so we know whatever challenges we face now or in the future, we can always overcome! 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about T & M Events?
We are a women owned event planning business out of the DFW area! In addition to our event planning expertise, we also have excellent Photo Booth service that has brought so much fun and captured the meaningful moments for our client’s events!

We are extremely proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in less than a year of opening, and we can’t wait to accomplish even more this year! We’re proud of the brand we’ve built that focuses on putting our clients’ needs first and foremost. Our passion is the people, and we will always strive to perfect our craft! 

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
We just want to give so much love and huge thank you to our family and friends! As well as the wonderful people we’ve met along the way that have trusted us to bring your vision to life! We are nothing without the people that support us!
