CRESHAE JOHNSON

Today we’d like to introduce you to Creshae Dominique.

Hi Creshae, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Just a regular degular girl who was born in Wisconsin, raised in Minnesota, and now a PROUD permanent Texas Resident. A graduate of Iowa State University & currently graduate student at Tennessee State University, The Real TSU! Being raised in a two-parent household, where each parent has 2 degrees, definitely created the mindset to always Stand on Business with God’s guidance. So, education & being an entrepreneur was a must for my younger brother and I. And I will move the same way, for the day I am blessed to have children. My brother’s company, Greatness Only, has also been featured in VoyageDallas. So, I’m truly humbled & honored for the opportunity. The is a sign that this is a jumpstart for what God has for me & my future. My family has been on the pursuit for a while, with other business ventures and are staying steadfast to retire early. Which has me motivated to retire by 40. So, I am counting down 7 years to go (the number of completion). I have tried other business ventures and ideas in the past to get me to that goal. However, imposter syndrome & my perfectionism has gotten in the way of execution. Prayer and going to church keeps me sane and motivated. Waking up every morning reminds me that I have not fulfilled my purpose and I need to share my gifts with the world. So here we are, becoming a podcaster & soon-to-be Social Media influencer, with other business ventures on the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road and I feel it could have been. However, the more wisdom I gain, the more I realize that I have been the cause of my own demise. God has always blessed me to be in the right environments, have the right mindset, keeping me sane, having the resources, and a great network of people. As I stated before, my perfectionist ways and imposter syndrome have gotten in the way. I’ll also have to add that having anxiety is no joke and can really be detrimental if you let. I have let anxiety, comparison (social media), and the feeling of not having enough time on Earth; to accomplish the desires of my heart, slow me down. I’ll admit, I have chased the wrongs things, opportunities, and people; that have delayed the blessings God wants me to have. Getting in your own way and self-sabotage, has caused me to work even harder for things I deserve in this lifetime. Which is a hard truth to face, that had I stopped chasing what wasn’t suppose to be in my life, I wouldn’t had to work harder than God required. However, the older I get, I make sure that I work smarter not harder. I am still a work in progress, and I appreciate that I’ve grown to understand my flaws and what I need to work on. I know better, so I must do better.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently a corporate girly as a Senior Sales Analyst for a Device Insurance company. With me currently working to obtain my master’s in human resources degree & having my bachelor’s in hospitality management degree, my professional goal is to work in the Hospitality industry in a human resources department. I have a true passion for people. I love meeting new faces, interacting within new groups, and connecting people with other networks. That’s what I’m known for or how people know me. I really enjoy getting to know new souls and learning what they’re about. My dad has always said, “If you’re not networking, you’re not working.” I just know no matter what I do in life it will always have to do with connecting with people, networking, and creating unity. I feel that is truly my purpose in life. The best way I do that is by being my authentic self, which can be entertaining. That’s where “Just a Lil 1, 2” came about after many attempts at other ideas that I created. I finally felt, I found the lane where I can be my authentic self, where I would be consistent, and entertain. I also have created another special project, outside of becoming social media influencer with a well-known Podcast. My creative brand, PC (name to be launched soon), will be focused on everything fashion and what fashion means to me. It’s a combination of my gifts with Fashion styling, closet organizing, and a fashion accessory line (Follow on IG @pcthebrand_). It’s my way to not only show and utilize my gifts of creativity and gab; but to entertain and unite the masses in a positive way, via social media and beyond. I am most proud of the fact that no matter how many times I’ve attempted to utilize and show my gifts, I have never given up. And that’s what set me apart from others.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would have to first give credit to my heavenly Father. For continuing to give me strength to never give up and surrounding me with amazing people. I have been blessed with an amazing family, loving friends, co-workers, and a great church home (Koinonia Christian Church- Arlington, TX). I am also thankful for all that I have endured that has made me into the woman I am today, all the while striving daily, to be better.
