Inspiring Conversations with Kimberly Williams of Perspective 360

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Williams.

Kimberly Williams

Hi Kimberly, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve had a rocky foundation. One that consisted of trauma, Jesus, and witnessing heinous crimes by the age of eight. I was relocated to a suburban town in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, to finish grade school. Once I was reunited with my birth family, emotional, mental, and physical abuse was my norm while pushing for excellence in high school. I would be orphaned by spring of my junior year. With the tenacity of my teachers, my quiet disposition and the advocacy of great educators I graduated and entered into the world’s greatest Army.

As a young lady I recognized my reactions and thoughts concerning my experiences and didn’t line up with the normal expectations of society. I would later learn that this trait is a learned skill called “emotional Intelligence.” I started working with corporations and private entities that relied heavily on effective communication, conflict resolution and diversity in donor relations.

Amassing over 4.3 million in endowments and sponsorship while creating training manuals and funding for non-profit brick and mortars, I decided to deploy myself and create terms that benefit my expertise, resume, and unique family structure. I train leaders to effectively communicate the organization’s vision and stimulate buy-in from their foundational employees for long-term retention.

I’m creating a diversionary center for orphaned or independent male teens who don’t receive the support and stability as i did through traumatic circumstances, my eldest brother died never truly being able to recover from the loss of our mother.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I moved to TX on 3/3/2020 and was homeless with my 3 children on a Greyhound bus. My youngest at the time was 4 months old.

I was ostracized from all familiarity and networks from back home.

Having to battle when toxic mold almost takes my life since being in TX, as well as all our possessions in 2022.

Building credibility again from scratch in my field in a brand-new market. While helping my teenager graduate and enter college.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My leadership development firm specializes in emotional intelligence, effective communication, and inter-generational conflict resolutions. I use an emotional intelligence modality to support individuals in discovering their personal leadership and professional communication methodology. My uniqueness is in the ability to convey training with integral experiences as a consumer, employee, and management, mixed with my formal education in Business & Organizational management. I offer customized training manuals workshops included. 90-minute talks on leadership authority and culture. As well as an 11-week training titled The Long Game, which enriches teams and culture by developing people-centered visions and communication in the workplace.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I learned that people enjoy their space at home and feel more comfortable in settings where they are able to work without the oversight of the management and can freely produce the outcomes required. This is used in my trainings to support in employee retention and culture.
