Hi Ciera, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
While planning my son’s first birthday party, I was looking for a safe, fun, and engaging activity for the little ones. I stumbled upon the idea of soft play, and I loved it. I inquired with many soft play vendors and found that they didn’t not service my area because of how far North we are located. This sparked an idea that maybe I could start a soft play business to service the North Dallas area. After doing some research and talking with my husband about it, I knew that this would be an exciting opportunity and decided to take the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship. Since our first event back in 2021, We Like to Soft Play has been a part of over 100 events! It truly has been an honor to play a role in these unforgettable moments, making memories that will last a lifetime.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has come with challenges, but nothing I couldn’t handle. One of the biggest struggles was finding a balance between working a 9-5, being a business owner, and being a present mother to a growing toddler. Despite the juggling act, it has been an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding journey. I give glory to God for being with me every step of the way.

We Like to Soft Play specializes in crafting unforgettable experiences for children’s birthday celebrations. We are known for our bold soft play color choices and our detailed custom vinyls that truly stand out. I am proud of our brand’s commitment to serving our clients. We strive for excellence, and every event we undertake is approached with the goal of creating memories that will last a lifetime. We pour our hearts into every detail, treating each celebration as if it were our own child’s special day.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
During the COVID-19 crisis, we learned the importance of celebrating milestones with the people we love. During the height of the pandemic, when physical gatherings were limited and travel was restricted, families and friends found creative ways to come together virtually. Whether it was a birthday, a graduation, or a baby shower, the need to celebrate these special moments became more signficant than ever. I believe it was the love and connection we experienced during these moments that truly carried us through the challenging times of COVID-19. Looking ahead, we carry these invaluable lessons with us. We understand the experiences we create are more than just celebrations- they are sources of joy, bringing people together after the hardships we endured during the pandemic.
