Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Robles.
Hi Carolina, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hey there!
So, let me take you back to where it all began – picture this: it’s the midst of the pandemic, and like many of us, I found myself seeking connection and purpose amidst all the uncertainty. That’s when the spark ignited in my room, a desire to bring the community closer together, to fill that longing for something more.
For me, fitness became my lifeline, my beacon of hope in those challenging times. It was like discovering a fire within me, waiting to burst forth and create something meaningful.
I’ve always believed in the power of community, but I wasn’t quite sure how to make it happen. Yet, fueled by my passion, I started small, organizing fitness classes for the community to attend. Little did I know, it was just the beginning of something much larger than I ever imagined.
Life got busy with a new job, but I didn’t let that stop me. Even amidst the chaos, I kept hosting events whenever I could, keeping the spirit alive.
Then, the magic happened when I met other amazing women entrepreneurs – Rosa and Vikki. Later, we were joined by our 4th business partner, Carly. Between the four of us, we take wellness to a whole other level. God brought us together, and from there, we knew we were onto something special. Together, we envisioned a space where women entrepreneurs could connect, find support, and nurture their well-being.
As small business owners ourselves, we knew the struggles of feeling isolated and lacking resources. So, we took to social media, sharing our journey and inviting others to join us. Before we knew it, what started small blossomed into a powerful sisterhood, with events selling out faster than we could believe!
And that is how Latina CEO was born – a sanctuary where women can flourish, lift each other up, and chase their dreams fearlessly, hand in hand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely! Every journey takes time and patience, but above all, it requires trust. In our first year as Latina CEO, our focus was on nurturing our small community of women. Creating an intimate space where everyone felt seen, safe, and valued was paramount to us.
One of our biggest challenges along the way has been funding our events. We had to get creative, seeking sponsorships and exploring different avenues. But because we deeply believe in our mission, investing our own resources was never a hesitation.
We’ve learned to pivot when needed, to face setbacks privately, and to keep pushing forward. Through it all, we’ve built a strong foundation and a shared belief system that keeps us united and thriving.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re thrilled to share more about Latina CEO and our mission to empower women entrepreneurs through health, wellness, and resources. Our community is all about connection and support, whether it’s through our monthly work meet-ups over coffee or dinner or wellness events such as Yoga/Pilates and Bootcamps for the community.
At Latina CEO, we’re known for creating a space where women can openly share their struggles, access valuable resources, and collaborate on action plans to conquer their goals. It’s a place where questions are encouraged and where each member brings unique insights and experiences to the table.
What sets us apart is our commitment to fostering genuine connections and providing tangible support. We’re proud of the inclusive environment we’ve cultivated, where every member feels seen, heard, and empowered to thrive in their entrepreneurial journey.
We’re not just about networking; we’re about building genuine connections that propel us forward.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
When it comes to finding a mentor or networking, my best advice is to start by being authentic and genuine in your interactions. Look for opportunities to connect with people who share your interests or goals, whether it’s through professional organizations, social media groups, or industry events.
Don’t be afraid to reach out and introduce yourself, but make sure to personalize your approach and show genuine interest in the other person’s work or experiences. Building relationships takes time, so be patient and consistent in your efforts.
For me, what has worked well is being proactive and open to learning from others. I’ve found mentors through mutual connections, as well as by attending networking events and reaching out to people whose work I admire.
Remember, networking is not just about what you can get from others but also about what you can offer. Be willing to share your own knowledge and experiences, and you’ll find that genuine connections will naturally follow.
