Community Highlights: Meet Amber Chrissy of The Depths of Wholeness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Chrissy.

Amber Chrissy

Hi Amber, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Oh wow! My story. Where do I even begin?

I am Amber Chrissy! A mom of 2, an educator, a certified mindfulness and yoga instructor, somatic wellness advocate, and a counselor-in-training as I am working towards my licensure as a Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapist!

As you can tell, I am a believer of all things healing and emphasizing internal well-being. Although I have a strong focus in the wellness area, I didn’t always implement it on my own life. But here I am, enjoying rocking a heart to serve others on such a deep and meaningful level.

I started out in my hometown, bringing women together to simply celebrate one another and make amazing connections, hoping we could all see the beauty in sisterhood. I hosted events such as horseback riding, bowling, painting with a twist, dinners and wine parties in my home, and much more. In those spaces, we were able to become vulnerable, relatable, and real.

We connected authentically and openly. That is where is started.

My heart’s core is to truly be a coach, cheerleader, guide, and advocate to deeper wholeness, dope living, and a happier and peaceful version of everyone I come in contact with. I don’t believe it is my purpose to save the world, but I’d love to hold space and journey with as many beautiful souls as I can.

I began this journey knowing that family and connection are my wound and my joy! From my own personal experiences, childhood, and relational dynamics to my experiences as an educator and working with others, I have always desired to bring connection and community to the forefront of lives.

Now, here I am, building a business and gaining the education that focuses on healing at its core. I get to spend trusted time with people who believe in the essence of simply being and releasing. They trust me to hold space for all that they’ve unloaded in that moment.

I get the opportunity to work with individuals and host events that allows others to come together, tap into the body and mind, and navigate embracing the journey of finding out where their own puzzle pieces go.

This is what The Depths of Wholeness is all about- connection, community, and authentic compassion.

In the moments of stillness, we find the space to connect with our true selves and create a life aligned with our deepest purpose in that moment.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Finding my true self and developing into a more complete version of myself has not been a smooth ride. When you’re constantly evolving and getting better, you start to realize that so many aspects of yourself are actually like puzzle pieces that you need to figure out how to fit them together.

It is undoubtedly challenging to launch a business, pursue a second master’s degree, and work a full-time job as a single mother. In order to pursue something bigger than yourself and serve in a more profound way than where you are right now, sacrifice is an essential element. I regularly consume sacrifice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Being everything to everyone, including yourself, on a daily basis requires sacrifices that are difficult to make. I wouldn’t, however, trade it for anything. When I made some mature decisions, that’s what I committed to.

I used to tell myself, “Amber, find the balance and maintain it.” for me, it is not a matter of balance but rather a matter of consistency and discipline.

Consistency- We have a love/hate relationship. However, I am learning that consistency and frequency are not synonymous; I have to ensure I am showing up for me, my family (that includes my partner), my business, and my village when I say I am going to. I thrive on a schedule, so when life seems to be heavy, I have to be okay with the adjustments necessary to still get the day-to-day tasks done.

There have been times when I’ve been disappointed that I didn’t give something my all because I was overwhelmed and/or shut down. I have soaked up a few gems during those times: 1. Setting limits for oneself and other people is acceptable. 2. “No” is a complete sentence. 3. To avoid being in this state, when possible, prioritize your tasks and set time limits for them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Depths of Wholeness is a restorative space where people can be guided on a path of introspection and healing within themselves.

Our mission is to create a nonjudgemental space where individuals can practice coming home to themselves, for themselves, and for others with whom they are connected.

We use breathwork, gentle movement, one-on-one and group coaching, and other holistic modalities to help achieve the shifts and goals we want to embody…

This space was curated for continuous healing within. It was conceived really from my own mountains and valleys of life. I realized that I had to get deep within myself in order to heal within and move forward in a way that brought peace, light, acceptance, and introspection into my life,

One of my favorite sessions has been working with couples who want time and connection specifically for them. They get to take off all the other hats worn and spend sweet time coming home to their union.

There is so much more to come! This is only the beginning of a bigger purpose than what I can see, and I am here for it all.

And I am hosting community wellness events all 2024!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Ooooohhhh that is a tough one,

Surprisingly, not many people are aware that I’m an introvert. When it comes to going to events, networking, and socializing, I fit right in, but as soon as I get home, you might as well wrap me up like a present and put me under the tree. At that point, I’m mentally unavailable to the outside world. I need to take a break and rejuvenate.
