Hi Ahmed, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started cooking when I was young, it was something I shared with my mom.
Growing up with a single mom I would come home before my mom would come home from work and create fusions with her leftovers.
As I grew older, cooking remained a passion and a hobby of mine.
I lost my mom last year and started Halal Fusionz to keep her legacy and memories alive
I started the Pakistani and Tex Mex Fusion restaurant inside a ghost kitchen to smart small and build a proof of concept.
With the help of many influencers especially Keith Lee, this became possible.
I took a leap of faith and emailed Keith Lee and shared my story.
To my surprise, he was touched by my story and came to try it, left a good review, and said my mom would be proud!
Many of his fans came raving into this day!
This gave me the opportunity to build a team and scale up operations.
We are now searching for a brick-and-mortar dine-in location.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the challenges have been gaining traction to a ghost kitchen facility that doesn’t get organic foot traffic or driver visibility
Also, facing the slow winter months was a learning curve being new into the industry
