Hi Marvin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my resume writing business in 2012 and my job search coaching business in 2019, which has now evolved into a career clarity coaching program. As an early career professional working in human resources, I developed a passion for helping job seekers. As a result of this passion, I wanted to start a resume writing service to put others in the best position to succeed in their job search. During my last few years working in recruiting, I launched a career clarity program to help those needing guidance in choosing a career.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a challenging road. I had to work hard to spread awareness of my business and create strategies that would set it apart from others. The resume writing and career coaching industry can be very crowded. I had to work hard to create a repeat client base that would also refer other individuals to me.

I have been working in human resources for the last 12 years and have worked in various areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and training and development. I leveraged my background in HR to start my career clarity coaching program and resume writing service. I am most proud of helping clients realize and achieve their career goals. Clients have known me as someone with the talent and ability to help job seekers gain clarity on their careers and job search goals. I feel what sets me apart is my ability to listen to others and help guide them in the right direction during their job searches,
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to continue expanding my career clarity program. I am also looking forward to serving as a guest speaker for university career centers on various job search topics. I am finishing my second master’s degree and will start a doctoral program next year.
