Meet Corey Boyd of 25 Muscle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Boyd.

Corey Boyd

Hi Corey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My journey started as a pre-teen, following in my older brothers’ footsteps and getting ready for sports. Being the youngest of three boys served as the inspiration I needed. Then, I fell in love with working out due to the results and the feeling that came along with exercising. Once I stayed consistent and began to get results, people began to associate me with working out. My life took a turn at the age of eighteen. I was incarcerated. Even though it was a dark period in my life, it served as a resurgence. I resumed my fitness journey, dialed in even more, and was once again associated with fitness. I began to train people and give fitness advice. Fitness was my saving grace. It helped me get through my hardest of times and gave me something to look forward to. Once I was released, I stayed the course and eventually got a job at LA Fitness. The gym business increased, and I was the face of the gym. This spurred me to start my own business, and 25 Muscle was formed.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has been anything but smooth. The fitness industry is definitely one of the hardest industries to succeed in. The competition is fierce due to gyms with low rates, steroid use that makes natural gains seem prehistoric, and other shortcuts that take away from the process of hard work. I’ve had to get off jobs to cover bills due to a lack of clients. I’ve even been kicked out of gyms because training was against their policy. Being a personal trainer is very rewarding but also very difficult. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
25 Muscle is a brand that has been created from the ground up with simply hard work and dedication. It’s a reflection of me and the lifestyle that I live. Not only do I train people, but I work with them and set a standard for them. This is what sets me apart. I never ask for more than I can do myself, and I’m with my clients every step of the way.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come. From Haynesville, Louisiana, where I was raised, to Dallas, Texas, and beyond due to nothing but hard work and consistency.

I take pride in offering affordable services and being within reach of the same demographics that I grew up around. Even though business is a top priority, helping those that embraced and molded me is also a top priority.

One of my biggest goals is to make my brand a global presence. My success as an entrepreneur will serve as a roadmap for future generations. Something we desperately need in our communities.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
25 Muscle is more than just personal training. It’s physical and mental health. It’s breaking generational cycles of poor habits and bad nutrition. It’s a positive light in our communities during a time of need.
