Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Benjamin.
Hi Anthony, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started cutting men’s hair at 8 years old. My father was military, and I was the oldest of 10 kids. He bought me a pair of Clippers and told me to figure it out…so I started cutting him and my siblings weekly. Eventually, I figured it out and got really good with the Clippers. Fast forward to college, I was the main barber for all my friends and family, and finally went to cosmetology school at 19. Been doing hair ever since. Now at 39 I’ve had my mobile salon active for over 10 years and counting. I love what I do!!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is ever smooth in life. Had so many doors close on me, so many nos. I kept pushing through and eventually found my way and created a life for my children and I. It’s crazy to think that it’s been 2 decades already! Time flies when you’re having fun.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in bringing the mobile salon and barber experience on location in the DFW area. My clientele is very unique… I have clients from all walks of life and all ages. That’s what I love. I’m able to help bring smiles and joy by cutting hair on location and saving my clients time. Some of the services we offer are hair cutting, styling and coloring, spray tan, makeup, nails, and men’s hair replacement.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would be going to Germany and a few countries in Europe for the summers to visit family. I remember it being so peaceful and beautiful ❤️
