Today we’d like to introduce you to R. Jay Berry.
Hi R., please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My writing journey began in 2011 with The Sunday Rose trilogy about my grandmother’s life. These three books led and shaped my future writings/books with actual people and events. My latest book, The Help Chronicles, highlights my journey as a caregiver for my family from 2014 to present day. I am in the process of writing my 8th book, The Help Chronicles 2-The Lost Connection, further explaining how a caregiver’s support is ongoing.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since the publication of my first book in 2011 to my latest book in 2023, I have become very familiar with the production and marketing processes. In preparing for the release of all of my books, I had to begin the marketing phase during the production phase in order to increase interest of potential clients and be prepared to immediately focus on the eventual book release. Both of these processes are time-consuming but beneficial at the final release date. I had to learn this process on my own to facilitate more interest in my books prior to the first book event.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
R. Jay Berry Books provides access to all seven of my books. However, at my book events and even with purchases that come directly to me, clients receive other free items to show my thanks for their business. Some of these gifts include personalized bookmarks and pens, calendars, organizers, personalized magnets, jewelry, and movie gift cards, etc.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Through some of the book events, I have been asked to be a part of Zoom calls, podcasts, and radio interviews to share my story, my journey, and the messages that are highlighted in my books. I have also been asked to write books for several people based on my writing style. I am always available to assist potential writers.
