Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my journey as a poet at 14, driven by the loss of my father at 12, a loss that spurred me to channel my emotions into verse. By 18, I had published my debut book, “Scarlet Rose & Growth.” The following year saw the release of my second work, “Caged Thorns,” and by 20, my third book, “Sparked Flame,” was out. In 2021, I ventured into fashion, founding Azure Co., a streetwear label symbolizing transformation akin to a blue butterfly’s evolution into beauty through life’s trials. Currently, I’m crafting my fourth poetry collection and reimagining Azure Co. as a modest fashion brand with a similar ethos.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has been far from easy, marked by numerous challenges and unexpected detours. However, I can confidently say that every obstacle has been worth it. There were moments when I contemplated abandoning the brand, opting for a conventional 9-5 job instead, yet I persevered and refused to let it go. My most significant hurdle came during my college years, where I juggled being a full-time student alongside holding down a full-time job and another part-time position. Those days were characterized by little sleep, minimal meals, and neglect of self-care, all driven by my unwavering pursuit of a dream. Despite those challenges, once I navigated through that period, things started to progress relatively smoothly.

I don’t believe in the concept of luck; instead, I attribute everything I have achieved and earned to the strength that God has bestowed upon me. I hesitate to solely credit my hard work, as it is ultimately God who has granted me the capacity to work diligently. My gratitude extends to God for all that I have accomplished.
