Hi Matias, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always seemed to have an interesting life. From personal lifestyle, fashion and life events. I was always against TikTok and didn’t understand the platform. Eventually, during the pandemic, I joined the app, and it became severely addicting! I decided to post my first video, which was horrible and shot through the TikTok app, which was like a day in the life going to the gym. Over time, I started to post shoe pick-ups and fashion/style outfits, and then a friend of mine stated you need a niche that people want to see. I started to do routine-based lifestyle content, and they started to go viral! Over time, that traction and effort had ongoing momentum to place me where I am today. Don’t create content for followers. You will lose yourself in providing solely for others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Creating content for me has not been a smooth road. It was very uncomfortable at the beginning being on camera, considering I am such an introverted person. Adjusting to the camera, exposing my life and insecurities for the public, and receiving feedback were some of the battles. Also, finding the balance between creating content and personal life seems to be a daily challenge. I assumed all my content must go viral, and at one point, I created because of what I thought people wanted to see and more on the demand side versus being organic. Once I started being organic, not trying to copy other creators and not worry about the views/numbers, I began to flourish.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a full-time job working for Amazon Robotics doing operations, but I also create content full-time, so I am burning the candle at both ends. I enjoy creating content mostly because it allows me to have a positive impact on others’ lives indirectly, creating that “influence” we speak of. What I am most proud of is staying the course and remaining true to self. Also being humble and let God do all the driving in this journey. My content, depending on platform, is split. My YouTube channel blends Instagram and TikTok short form into long form. YouTube is more lifestyle, day in the life, really personal content. Instagram I am known for fashion and styling clothes. TikTok more so lifestyle, enabling and sustaining a routine to better self. Additionally, I am proud that I don’t copy other creators for the sake of creating a larger community, and I enjoy the fact that my community is strong and supportive.
Any big plans?
Plans for the future for me would allow me to create content full-time, giving me the option to live life and share experiences with my supporting followers. I’m looking forward to constant growing, being a sponge daily with recording and editing content, to put out higher quality and mesmerizing content. I plan on doing what I have been doing, but more so, perfecting the craft I have chosen to do. I know in due time, there will be something life changing for me, it’s just remaining discipline and consistent through it all.
