Serving the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, our mission is to exceed expectations for weddings, corporate gatherings, or private parties.
Our founder, DJ KB, brings over 20 years of experience as an open-format DJ and Turntablist. Known for his exceptional ability to read audiences and seamlessly mix diverse music genres, DJ KB has earned a stellar reputation in the entertainment industry. His career highlights include sharing the stage with world-renowned DJs and electronic music acts, holding residencies at top Texas clubs, and performing at hundreds of weddings and private events.
In addition to his performance career, DJ KB has contributed to developing aspiring DJs. While residing in Austin, he served as the lead DJ instructor and course developer at Dub Academy, a prestigious school for electronic arts. He has also performed alongside notable figures like DJ AM, Z-Trip, DJ Craze, and many others. He has entertained A-list celebrities, including George Strait, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jessica Alba.
Since relocating to Dallas – Fort Worth with his family in the fall of 2017, DJ KB continues to share his expertise as an instructor and course developer at Oontz Kids DJ Academy in Southlake. Through DJ KB Events, we remain committed to providing professional DJ services and lighting for any event, with personalized music selections and unparalleled client communication.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Change is essential to growth, and growth never comes without its challenges.
Starting my own event company was a passion of mine, and I knew that the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, one of the most populated areas in the Southern United States, would be the ideal place to begin. However, this decision was a significant gamble. Leaving Austin meant stepping out of my comfort zone and starting over in a new environment.
The transition was not without its difficulties. Establishing myself in a new city required building a network from scratch and adapting to a different market.
Fortunately, I had valuable connections in DFW. Michael Roos of ‘True DJs of Dallas,’ an acquaintance from Austin, played a crucial role in helping me get started. Collaborating with his DJ company allowed me to grow my own business independently. Additionally, Michael introduced me to Dan Quinn of ‘DQB Entertainment’ and the ‘Oontz Kids DJ Academy.’
Since then, I have worked collaboratively with these fantastic professionals and am currently a course developer and lead instructor for the ‘Oontz Kids DJ Academy.’ While the journey has had its hurdles, the support and opportunities I’ve encountered in DFW have been instrumental in overcoming these challenges and achieving success.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Transitioning to DJ KB Events marked a pivotal moment, granting me the freedom to showcase my unique style and skill set. This shift fueled my commitment to crafting unforgettable experiences tailored to each client’s vision.
