Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began singing as a little girl in the Tabernacle Baptist church choir in Youngstown, Ohio. I’ve loved music as far back as I can remember.

Music has always been a safe space for me so nurturing that passion created space for me to naturally grow in my artistry. I’ve been recording professionally for 4 years now and have learned so much about myself as a developing artist, both live on stage and in the booth and how to be secure in my own sound and find my rhythm.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. Learning any foreign territory can be intimidating if you’re not familiar with the ins and outs of the industry. Unfortunately, artists do sometimes get burned. You have to learn how to handle a lot of “no’s” and still stay encouraged.

You have to learn how to conduct business and protect your brand. I could write a book about this experience, but ultimately, I love music, and if anything, it makes me appreciate the artistry even that much more! It’s hard work!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer/songwriter who loves several different genres, but my heart is with R&B. I have written and arranged every last song I’ve aired and unreleased. I’m most proud of my ability to take any situation and make it a melodic story.

I always want to paint a clear picture with my words, reach into my listener’s ear, and make them feel what I’m saying; I also think that’s what sets me apart from the others. I just want to make music authentic to what’s really going on and come from a place of relatability.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being teachable and being fair. If I want support, I need to show support. If I want to be heard, I have to learn to listen. I’m also so very humbled, grateful, and thankful to those who rock with me.

Like knowing my lyrics, coming to my shows, and streamlining my type of work. I always show love. I think that has contributed to it, along with networking and being authentic no matter where.
