Daily Inspiration: Meet Juan Aguirre Romero

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Aguirre Romero

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I came to the USA with a student vise/ scholarship through rugby. After two year of playing rugby at Lindenwood University I transition into the MLR which is the profession rugby league here in America.
I played in the league from 2019 all the way to 2023. I played in Austin, NYC, Seattle and my last two year in Dallas with the Dallas Jackals.
After my last season with them in 2023 I decided to step away from the professionalism and decided to coach. And that is when I started coaching for TCU rugby.
DJing was always within me but the lifestyle of the DJ does not match the one of a profesional athlete so I couldn’t do it as much. Now that I am retired I came back into the music and now I have been performing all around Dallas, F. Worth and Austin and it feel good!
During the day I keep on coaching the kids at TCU and manage to work for a sales organization

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggles were many but I count them as blessings to make me who I am and to give me experiences I will never forget.
For example…Moving to a different city every year was difficult but I’m so glad I met amazing people all around the US.
Doing school while playing professional was a struggle in a way but I would recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity to go for it.
Being away from my family and my culture is always a struggle, but getting out of that bubble made me grew so much as a individual and I would be always grateful..

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I would say I am known as the DJ who never sleeps. My determination to be successful in everything I put my mind on is something that sets me apart from the rest. But at the same time the joy I found on doing it fills me up with happiness.
I am really proud of my values and my work ethic. I grind day and nights and trying to keep a healthy balance on life. From getting a good sleep to eating healthy and working out. Meanwhile I coaching the sport I love in one of the best universities in Texas, I work hard for my sales organization and then I go to my DJ sets at night fully motivated to make the people have a good time!

What’s next?
I like to plan ahead with my wife and see how we see each other in the future. We both definitely want to grow in our individual carreers and we support each other in our dream and aspirations and that’s the best in our relationship.
We are blessed at the moment with everything that it’s coming our way and we want to keep accumulating blessing.
In the near future with my DJ career I would like to start traveling to different cities and perform there. Soon I’m going to Hawaii for a month and I will be playing there in various events and venues so that will be a great jump start to what is coming next.
