Hidden Gems: Meet Majesti Smith of The Queen of Keys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Majesti Smith

Hi Majesti , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I always knew I’d be “somebody”. Of course there’s no roadmap on how to achieve said status, but there’s the lingering question(s) of “HOW?” How do I achieve this? How do I place myself in the right rooms? How do I set myself apart once I’m there? How do I leave the room not only inspired, but convicted enough to figure it out? Both my educational and professional backgrounds are rooted in Sales and Marketing. The thought of a career in Real Estate crossed my mind several times over the years, however entrepreneurship wasn’t on my list of priorities during those moments. It wasn’t until I experienced not one, but two, layoffs in the Tech space that I was brought face-to-face with destiny. I was determined to solely remain on the corporate side until I saw fit to change that – it’s funny how we arrogantly think we’re in control right? I could not outrun it any longer, so with much prayer and a great Mentor I was able to begin my journey to become a licensed Real Estate Professional in 2023. While I did eventually land a role, I was determined to never put my purpose on hold again. I’ve been asked numerous times “Are you a Full Time or Part Time agent?”. With a smirk I proudly say “There’s no such thing as a Part Time commitment – you’re either devoted to the craft or you’re going through the motions.” Needless to say, I am honored to be an advocate for the citizens of Texas in their respective journeys, and aim to thoroughly educate clients in every phase of the process.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Creating social media pages and shouting your business from the rooftop are the easy parts. The grit comes when you’re constantly in student mode or when the picture in your mind shows differently in real time. As humans, we assume our journeys are black and white when in reality it’s all other colors in the crayon box. I won’t identify it as struggle, but I will coin it as growing pains. Rejection, low social analytics, or little to no traction all has the ability to weigh heavily on a business owner’s mind. The remedy to that is being productive no matter what – showing up every day in some way! Also removing myself from an inward expectation and replacing that with grace is vital when things are “slow”. You have to fall in love with the grind, to some degree. If not, you’ll spend time resenting the “resistance” instead of embracing its essence. No one gets to the top without a story, so learning to be comfortable with uncharted territory only broadens your stripes.

As you know, we’re big fans of The Queen of Keys . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in all aspects of Residential Real Estate. If a client is interested in the purchase, sale, lease or investment of property or even land – I’m up for the task. In addition, I am able to service those who are interested in the lease or purchase of Commercial property. My tenacity, due diligence, coupled with personal and field experience, is what sets me apart. Becoming a homeowner years prior to being licensed has given me built-in credibility with those considering that next step. I vividly remember each phase of the process and how my realtor equipped me with the knowledge necessary to feel at ease about such a milestone. Relationship building is the core of my business. I strive to make each client feel ‘at home’. Taking mental notes when a client mentions their child’s birthday or graduation, sending a friendly text on Mother/Father’s day – actions that seem small, but reminds them of their importance to you beyond the sale. A realtor can either make or break your experience. While every client’s journey will differ, the common denominator is my total allegiance to their best interest.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Collaboration: Your network is your net worth! In order to successfully complete a transaction, one has to be well connected. I am not a one woman show – it is impossible! Fellow realtors, mortgage lenders, home builders, etc. all leave their footprint in some way, shape or form to drive the end result. I’m the referral queen – I take pride in helping someone else win. If you work heavily with Realtors, I’d love to connect and establish a long term partnership.

Support: It is far too easy to show a brand support; a follow, repost and referral goes a long way! Everyone’s social account has its own reach, so the more my sphere of influence shares what I do, the better. Word of Mouth is just as powerful, if not more, than social media. People support brands and businesses that are run by those they like or that can be vouched for by someone they trust.
