Check Out Tasha Hutchison’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Hutchison.

Tasha Hutchison

Hi Tasha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was 16, my mother told me I had become a drama queen. As a solution, she bought me a computer and a printer so that whenever I exhibited those characteristics, I would have to write short stories. Since I was an avid reader, she believed I could write stories because I loved fiction. Eventually, I began to enjoy writing so much that she would have to ask me to come out of my room. I attribute all my success to her for thinking outside the box as a mother.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Working towards goals is never easy. It takes guts to put yourself out there when you are still growing as a writer. The main struggle I have found through my journey is visibility. If you don’t have $15,000 lying around to hire top-notch PR services, you will have to work extremely hard to get your name and work out there.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a writer who primarily focuses on the women’s fiction genre. One of my proudest achievements is my book “Broken Petals,” which was named a finalist for the Best Book Award. This recognition has been a significant milestone for me, and it has raised the bar for my future work. My next book, Red Roses, is currently available for pre-order with all major book retailers. What sets me apart as a women’s fiction writer is my ability to craft intricate emotional journeys that deeply resonate with readers. Through nuanced characters and authentic storytelling, I delve into the complexities of relationships, identity, and empowerment in ways that captivate and inspire. I aim to instill hope in my readers. My unique voice and perspective offer a fresh and compelling experience, inviting readers to immerse themselves in rich narratives that reflect the diverse and ever-changing landscape of women’s lives.

I also create writing organizers and eBooks to assist fellow writers with their productivity in achieving their writing goals. You can discover these helpful tools on Etsy at the Wordy Writer Organizer shop.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Publishing a book is risky. When you put your work out there, you open yourself up to critique. However, I see feedback as an opportunity to improve as a writer. The quote “the biggest risk is not taking any” certainly speaks to me and influences my decisions in my writing career. Some might say, “Go big or go home.”
