Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Jay.
Hi Jada, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Louisiana born & Texas raised award-winning singer-songwriter, Irma P. Hall award-winning actress, model, influencer & writer, Jada Jay, began her career opening in concert for artists such as Kirk Franklin and Alison Wonderland. Jada Jay later released her first Pop EP and single “Love To You” which she won Best Director, Best Editor and Best Music Video for at the Texas Indie Filmmakers awards in 2024. She appeared in Church’s Chicken’s “First Bite Campaign,” modeled for Famous Footwear and 7-Eleven, sang the national anthem for the Texas Rangers on TV and has worked with huge streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu and more. Jada Jay made her Nickelodeon tour debut in the world premiere of the production “Paw Patrol Live Heroes Unite.” She has been recognized worldwide for her iconic role in the multi-award-winning film “Older Man Younger Woman.” She has written books, screenplays, is the CEO of her own entertainment company which was founded in 2020, and became a Tik Tok viral sensation. Jada Jay has always sought to inspire and motivate others to work hard to make their dreams their reality, and she truly believes that if you keep God first, you can achieve anything!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When I first started out, getting clients was a bit difficult because if one were to look at me, they would think I am extremely young. I’ve found that people tend to deem youthful adults as less credible resources which really isn’t the case. I am certified to teach, I have my college degree in my profession, experience with working with major networks and I have had a 100% success rate with my clients achieving their set goals after booking my services. However, I never let my youthful looks hold me back, instead it motivated me to work harder. Since then, I have been asked to teach at multiple Texas Thespian conventions, and have helped many entertainers secure agents, booking and expand their portfolio. I count myself lucky to have been blessed with the knowledge I have and I truly believe that God has and will continue to provide clients that are meant to cross paths with me.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I’ve learned and seen a spark in a lot of virtual opportunities for entertainers since the Covid-19 crisis. A lot of classes are online, even some performances, rehearsals and there has been an immense increase in self-tape auditions as opposed to in person auditions.
