Hi Alfred, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Label Me Exclusive – “Where style meets design” started in the backyard of a close friend’s home on my thirtieth birthday. I had a love for all things decor, yet was hesitant at first to commit to the visions in my head. After my birthday, friends and colleagues requested balloons for intimate gatherings such as baby showers, proposals and other intimate ceremonies. Once I saw the need for exclusive decor at events, I made a commitment to learn everything I could about the decor and event industry, from taking floral classes to partnering with event planners. As I grew in my craft, LME evolved from balloons at intimate events to full scale decor at corporate events and weddings. It is amazing when a dream in your heart becomes a reality, and I pride myself on my ruthless work ethic, my commitment to growth, and my passion for decor. As I reflect on how I have grown in the last three years I can only thank God for showing me that if you believe in Him and go after your dreams the possibilities are endless.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, LME has been the smoothest road out of all of my creative endeavors. I have always been a creative person and deep down inside knew that I was supposed to be doing something that tapped into that creative energy, I just did not know the where or the how. I’ve tried to do numerous things, and even excelled in other career paths, but from the moment I assembled a balloon arch I knew that this is what I am supposed to do with my life. But it’s important for people to know that when you’re operating in purpose the process does not feel smooth. I love my work, but I also sacrifice a ton of time, sweat and money on a daily, weekly and monthly process. When you are endeavoring to craft the life of your dreams it takes a ton of sacrifice and I still battle with balancing my time effectively. The process is not always smooth but my vision for LME is clear.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
One thing about me, I’m going to put in the work. My friends jokingly call me a workaholic, and I don’t disagree. I believe in hard work, as well as the importance of incorporating other people into your vision. LME would not be the success that it is without the talented people on my team that hold me accountable in growing this brand. Hard work and a spirit of collaboration will propel any vision to reality.
