Hi Nida, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an immigrant who began with virtually nothing in my hands. My life’s ambition was to establish a company dedicated to improving human well-being. Despite facing constant belittlement throughout my journey, I persevered through various odd jobs until I founded my first software company focused on AI in healthcare, specializing in predictive analytics. This venture paved the way for my acquisition of Filos Health, a mobile phlebotomy business in Dallas, which quickly expanded to cover the entire state of Texas.
Building upon this success, I established Filos Health Laboratory, a pioneering entity integrating clinical diagnostics and precision diagnostics. The overarching mission of my enterprises is to revolutionize healthcare, aiming to make a profound impact in the field.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Like many immigrants starting with little, I faced numerous challenges and obstacles on my path to creating impactful companies in healthcare.
One of the primary struggles was overcoming skepticism and prejudice from others who doubted my capabilities due to my background. This constant need to prove myself and gain trust was a significant hurdle. Additionally, the journey involved financial challenges, especially in the early stages when resources were scarce, and funding opportunities were limited.
Navigating the complex regulatory landscape of healthcare and ensuring compliance with rigorous standards also posed ongoing challenges. Building and scaling a business in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving industry like healthcare required continuous adaptation and learning.
Moreover, managing the growth of my companies, from the initial software venture to acquiring and expanding Filos Health, involved its own set of challenges—strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and maintaining quality standards across a growing organization.
Despite these struggles, each obstacle provided valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. Perseverance, determination, and a clear vision for improving healthcare have been crucial in overcoming these challenges and driving my companies forward.

I am committed to the belief that high-quality healthcare should be a fundamental right for every person, and through my companies, I am dedicated to realizing this vision. I take great pride in my journey, standing strong against detractors and trusting my instincts to lead my company toward meaningful impact.
