Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrell “Tall Tee” Brown
Hi Terrell “Tall Tee”, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been a very creative person most my life. These past few years I have really been taking my ideas and making them into reality. From music videos, clothing line, Mobile Bartending, Trucking company, to now the owner of a successful card game called Lyric Lingo. All it took was patience and dozens of sleepless night to bring it all to reality. The idea for this game came up when I would post random things on Facebook to get a good laugh out of my friends. One day I posted “what time was Usher in his Drop Top cruising the streets” just to see if anyone would catch on. People who knew the song answered the question. A year later it popped back up on my timeline again as a memory and I reshared it with the status “I should make a game out of this” about 2 years later I hoped on my laptop and started listening to songs and typing up questions and found a company to print and package my cards. Less than 1 year into it I am now working on my 3rd version of the game due to the positive response I’ve received.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been times where my lack of patience got the best of me and was ready to give up but I pushed through. The game went through so many changes in the beginning until I finally stuck to my original concept of the game. It took 2 months in front of my computer listening to songs day in and day out to finally get my original version complete. The whole process definitely wasn’t easy but it was worth it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Lyric Lingo . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Lyric Lingo is a trivia card game that tests your lyrical knowledge of Hip Hop and R&B songs. I take questions from popular songs from the 90’s, 2000’s, 2010’s or current songs and make multiple choice style questions out of the lyrics. Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would say for the most part I did all the work myself. No one really knew anything about the game until I was ready to sell them on my online store. But once I was ready I sent the game to a few friends and family and they have all played with there friends which helped with my success. So big shout out to them
